Welcome to Snow Hill Elementary!
Dear Snow Hill Elementary Families,
My name is Andrew LaFevor and I am excited to join the Snow Hill family as Principal this year. Prior to coming to Snow Hill, I was able to serve as the Assistant Principal at Westview Elementary from 2021-2024. My classroom experience was spent at Red Bank Middle School from 2005-2021, where I was a Math, Science, Social Studies, and RTI teacher. After leaving the classroom, I was able to serve as an Instructional coach and Dean of Students. I have been married since 2010 to my wife Jenna, and we have one daughter named Landry. Jenna owns multiple small businesses, and Landry will be a sixth grader this year at Red Bank Middle School. We have two dogs, a chocolate lab named Reba and a blue healer named Seven. In my spare time I can be found working on our families beef cattle farm or cheering for the Vols.

Hello, Snow Hill Families. My name is Cortnay Young, and I have been in education for 20 years. I have taught students from elementary through high school and worked with incarcerated youth. My experiences have given me insight into the importance of this job. As an Assistant Principal, I aim to help children enjoy attending school while preparing them academically for the future. Another important goal is to support and enable my staff to become the best versions of themselves.
On a personal note, I am married and have two children, aged 15 and 17. I reside on 7 acres and cherish the peacefulness of ranch life. I am also a pet owner; I have an Old English Mastiff and ten chickens. I hope to have Highland cows someday.
Lastly, I feel very grateful and blessed to be a part of the Snow Hill Community. We have been a strong and unified school for some time, and I hope to continue that legacy.
